Alternatives To Amazon.co.uk For Old Books

I bough a copy of the old 1968 “Atlas of Typeforms” from AbeBooks and it was a third cheaper than from the cheapest 2nd hand seller listed on Amazon.

Good to know; can anyone recommend any others? :-)

You can try choosebooks.com This grew out of the old zvab websitel this had linked all German used-book sellers together. Later ZVAB went international and English like abebooks. Some books are cheaper at Abe, some here.

http://www.usedbooksearch.co.uk is by far the best I have found - it searches Abe, Amazon, Alibris, Biblio, etc etc in one go and does a price comparison.

http://www.greenmetropolis.com is good for more mainstream books and has an ethical approach to things and a set price of £3.75.

Also with regards to books that are impossible to find http://copac.ac.uk is good, it searches every library in the country.
