Hollywood on strike
Aaron Sw made a great post about the Hollywood strike, that I totally missed and no one else told me about.
One of his links has this funny quote:
From now until the end of time, any work distributed over the platform known as “the Internet” … should be subject to a fair and decent residual rate for the artists who make those works possible.
“Any work distributed” and “residual rate” sounds like DRM lala land to me; but I assume that its okay and he means a residual rate cut of any non-DRM files that publisher companies manage to charge money for redistributing.
Which is cool, but I’ll stick with Pirate Bay and tipping as much as I like, when I like, thanks.
(‘Mazin surname by the way :-)
