Text Rendering on Screen
Ages ago, Raph asked me to look into on-screen text rendering, after a senior GNOME guy linked him up to http://antigrain.com/research/font_rasterization/
A couple more interesting links are http://www.rogerblack.com/blog/second_font_war and http://www.rogerblack.com/blog/screen_fonts_history and http://www.markokarppinen.com/20020414.html and http://www.grc.com/ctwhat.htm and my good friend Gustavo F will no doubt have some good opinions about it too :-)
So I guess I could do my essay on synthesizing all this information, as if I am to focus on on-screen type rather than printed type, its going to be critical to grok this stuff.
